A white, sanded finish designed for hand application over IMPERIAL® Brand Gypsum Base is called DIAMOND® Brand Veneer Finish—Sanded. As a two-coat system over a sanded gypsum basecoat, IMPERIAL® Brand Veneer Basecoat, or DIAMOND® Brand Veneer Basecoat, it can also be utilized as the finish. For textured or skip-trowel finishes applied to a nominal thickness of 1.5mm-2.5mm, this veneer finish is pre-aggregated. For interior wall and ceiling surfaces as well as over properly prepared monolithic concrete, DIAMOND Veneer Finish—Sanded is advised.
It is perfect for single-family homes, high-rise structures, and garden apartments in residential construction. It produces a lovely white finish, has a four-hour fire rating, and offers a durable, hard surface that resists abrasion and surface cracking. Assemblies with sound ratings up to 62 STC meet all requirements for homes and businesses. Veneer Finish in DIAMOND - Sanded is simple to apply and can be decorated the day after drying in as little as 24 hours. It can have a rich texture to produce various forms of texture, such as Spanish, swirl, stippled, and float.
DIAMOND Veneer Finish—Sanded should be applied to IMPERIAL Gypsum Base having pristine, blue face paper. However, under abnormal conditions where there is no alternative to using gypsum base faded from excessive exposure to sunlight or ultraviolet radiation, precautions should be taken to prevent delamination. Degrading may occur when gypsum base has been installed long before the finish is applied
