The project scope includes the expansion of the airbase, restoration of structures damaged by the Gulf War, as well as the construction of a 300-foot microwave tower and Helicopter Hangar.

In 2018, expansion on the base begun by the Kuwaiti Air Force to include a new asphalt/concrete runway and extensive new hangar facilities to support the future delivery of Eurofighters intended to replace their existing complement of F-18C fighter jets.

USG ME team started working in full capacity in this project to meet the due time. According to the project progress, the completion of base expansion is scheduled in the second half of 2020, with the delivery of the 28 Eurofighters in late 2020.
